Yes, I am Human, a Female one at that, I was born in July of 1982 but these facts hold little value to what I am about to share...
While there are many things I could tell you about my past and how I got here. This is now about the future, since it is no longer a Cody on her own. It is now a Team of professionals following their passions together as one, each adding their own unique flair.
That being said, here are a few fun facts about me so you can get to know what unique things I bring to the table of our team.
Caring for all animals and the Earth has been a part of my genetic make up since I was a little girl. From walking the neighborhood and saving butterflies, to anything that needed help that I could find. It then turned into pet sitting for people, doing a zoo keeper program and animal photography. I have personally had horses, cats, dogs, rabbits and even hamsters. I started building a business in my home and it became so large it out grew my space and turned into the Cody’s Cozy Pals you have all come to know and love! Now I am excited to share with you the new version of Cody’s Cozy pals, I know you all will love even more!
Moving forward will hold the same promises of continued growth and observance to that which is around us, hearing what the animals have to say, honoring the new things we learn and sharing with others so it may help them as well. My sole/soul purpose is always to find, try out, and create that which is the best for animals and their humans.
I strive to bring balance, compassion and love to our team. To remind those around me to find that which resonates with them. To remember self love and care so that we may always have more to give. Through these strengths the perfect blend of people have been brought together to care for your pets.
I am truly grateful.
Creation of Cody’s Cozy Pals By Cody 2005 – presently a creation of us all
Hello! This is Kate, I am the general manager here at Cody’s Cozy Pals and if you have called the facility you have probably spoken with me! I started working with Cody in 2015 after working for 5 years in the food service industry. I had previous experience supervising/managing when working in food service and after a few short months I was promoted to be Cody’s manager! It was freaky how much we thought alike and that’s what helps make us work well together! I was unhappy working in food service and decided to change careers in 2014 when I took an online pet care course through HVCC online. Taking care of animals was my true passion and I am so glad I found Cody’s! In January 2018 I became a certified Reiki practitioner and I look forward to offering that to our client’s pets while they are here! I am also very passionate about pet nutrition and am looking forward to sharing my knowledge about raw food and more with our public seminars coming soon! Outside of Cody’s Cozy Pals I have my own 2 dogs, Iggy and Milo along with 2 cats Brewster and Dahmer. I personally take pride in my knowledge of Cat behavior and needs, I’m definitely a cat person.
I first started working at Cody’s in May of 2014 so I could start getting experience in the animal field while I was studying to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science at the University of Vermont. After I graduated I took a short break but ended up coming back as the Daycare Manager due to the quality of the care we provide, the wonderful staff, and Cody’s support. Since then I have been working to keep all of our furry clients happy and healthy during their play time! Currently I am learning more about the dog training world so that we may be able to offer more than basic obedience down the line, as well as other fun activities!
Hey there! My name is Kayla and I am the boarding supervisor for Cody's Cozy Pals. I'm also learning grooming to expand the grooming portion at the facility. I first came across this amazing job at a softball tournament! I was waiting for my next game and a client of Cody's, who was also on my softball team, called to check on her dogs who were boarding that weekend. She was so happy to hear her pups were doing well and two minutes later brought up the idea that it would be a perfect job for me! I went home and immediately applied and before my next tournament, I became part of CCP, and I've made it my second home ever since. Growing up I was always around dogs, they're amazing pets. Every dog, cat, or exotic that we bring into CCP is different and unique in their own way and that's what makes the job so great! The love I have for animals and helping them is something of mine that will never get lost. It's safe to say, the job found me. I had a long tough journey growing up, battling cancer was one. Fortunately, with the help of my big family, I knew I could conquer anything I put my mind to and now I'm nineteen years in remission from leukemia. I've always made sure everything I wanted to do in life, I would. Now I am almost 21 years old and have a whole future for me and my dogs. I'm striving, helping animals, and learning new things every day being at CCP.
